We're excited to finally be able to announce a release date of May 8 2019 for RVCare LogBook 3!
Version 3 is a ground-up visual overhaul, fixing bugs along the way and rebuilding as a modern 64-bit app. It is 100% compatible with RVCLB 2 - this is vital, as many of us have years of data that we don't want to lose. Our goal is a seamless transition to the new version.
As previously promised, version 3 will be a free upgrade for all current customers and on May 8, all newsletter subscribers will receive information on how to upgrade. We'll make it as easy as possible.
Mid-April 2019 - RVCLB forums launched
May 8 2019 - RVCLB 3 released for Mac and Windows, available from the website or from the App Stores
Early 2020 - RVCLB 4, all-new version and for the first time, also available for iOS and on the web!
We have our own saved data from RVCLB but to really test the new version of the app, we'd love to get some test data from our customers.
We know your data may have lots of personal information in there - where you've been, where you get work done and so on - so we fully respect that some people just simply won't want to share it. We get it.
Most of this testing will be automated, so it's unlikely that our developers will even see your data. We're looking for crash logs, messages from bugs and so on.
So if you'd like to help us out and share your data, we'd be really grateful. And thanks so much to everyone who has already helped!
The best way to keep in touch is the newsletter mailing list. I hate spam as much as you and I promise you'll only receive 2 or 3 emails a year. If there's anything you'd like to discuss regarding the upcoming RVCLB 3, please get in touch at email@example.com
The first release of RVLB from LibertyApp will be version 3.0 (the current release is version 2.7.11) and while we don't have an exact date yet, it will be available later this year. Version 3 will be our new baseline for the product and it will be the foundation of our development going forward. Version 3 focuses on two things: bug fixes and a visual overhaul. It maintains full compatability with previous versions and it will be a free update for anyone who owns RVLB of any version. It will be available for Windows and Mac, as always.
After RVLB 3.0 is released, we then move to improving the actual functionality of the product. You'll see more movement in this phase because we intend to release regular, small incremental updates, so that you get your hands on new features quicker. These feature updates will be community driven and to get your feedback, we will be launching a new forum for RVLB. The forum can be used for general discussion and bug reporting but it will also be used to discuss potential new features.
RVLB version 2.7.11 is still on sale (click the button below for the Mac version) and updates to version 3 will be completely free when available.
Are you on our mailing list? If not, please join it - we promise you'll get no more than 2 or 3 emails a year and we will only email you when we have something to tell you, such as the launch of the forum. If you have any comments or questions, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
